MTBA – YOUTH LEADERING TRAINING

MTBA sponsored a Youth leadership Training on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church, (Topping, VA) followed by lunch.  The training was led by Danny Quirin, BGAV, and the topic was “Discipling Digital Teens”.      A big thank you to MTBA Youth Ministries Action Group led by Brenda Armistead, Chair!   Click on picture to view additional pictures.    

MTBA – MINISTERS’ AND SPOUSES

The MTBA Ministers’ and Spouses banquet was on Monday, February 26, 2018, at Dano’s Pizza (Hartfield).    It was a great night of fellowship, Pastors and wives sharing in God’s amazing blessings together sharing food and stories.  The food: steak, crab cakes, baked potato, and more were delicious and prepared by the cooks of Dano’s, a big THANK YOU to Dano’s!   The deserts, homemade cakes, were the icing “on the cake.”    Thank you, Pastors and families, who give so much of their time and Continue reading →

MTBA FALL MEETING – OCT. 15, 2017

The MTBA Fall Association meeting was held on Oct. 15, 2017, at Zoar Baptist Church, Deltaville.  Our Theme was “With Shouts of Joy” from scripture, Psalm 105:43, “And he bought forth his people with joy, And his chosen with singing.”  Mrs. Tammy Faulkner, Moderator, opened the meeting.  There was energizing music by Mathews & Zoar Baptist Churches’ Praise Teams.  During Mrs. Donna Williams singing of “Something in the Water”, a video was shown of our Pastors and members about their baptisms as well as baptism Continue reading →

MTBA – YOUTH IN ACTION EVENT – 6-11-2017

On Sunday June 11th the Youth Action Committee held a Summer Splash at Camp Piankatank.  We had 48 people total in Attendance.  The Youth enjoyed the Pool, Basketball, GaGa Ball, and Knockerball was a very popular hit.  Even our own Tammy Faulkner tried it.  Let me add, she did a fantastic job.   We had 8 church’s represented that are in our Association.   Click on post date (August 14) to view pictures.   By:  Brenda Armistead, Chair    

MTBA – RISE AGAINST HUNGER – SEPTEMBER 16, 2017

On Saturday, September 16, at Hermitage Baptist Church, volunteers from our MTBA family of churches will gather to pack 20,000 meals.  These meals will be used by the Rise Against Hunger organization in their efforts to end world hunger.  The MTBA has participated in this project before and our Community Actions Team felt that the timing was right to help this cause once again.
