MTBA – MEAL PACKING – SEPTEMBER 22, 2018
On September 22, 2018, there were 50,000 nutritious meals packed by over 200 volunteers from MTBA churches in partnership with Rise Against Hunger organization. Each meal of rice, soy, vegetables, vitamins and minerals feeds a family of six! Our Community Ministries Action Group chose this mission for 2018. Rise Against Hunger is driven by the vision of a world without hunger by 2030. A big thank you to Hermitage Baptist Church (Church View) who hosted this event! MTBA – CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT – YOUTH
The MTBA Youth Committee is sponsoring a Cornhole Tournament for Youth (ages 12 through 18) on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Newington BC (Gloucester) (see flyer attached). Come and bring your family and friends! Registration/Waiver form is also attached.
MTBA – URBANNA BAPTIST CHURCH CALLS DR. BRUCE POWERS
Urbanna Baptist Church called Dr. Bruce Powers as their full time Pastor on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Dr. Powers had served as their Interim Pastor since December 2016. Under his leadership Urbanna Baptist Church has experienced an exciting broadening of missions and service within and beyond the walls of the church. MTBA – GRASSROOTS SEMINARY CLASSES
Want to learn more about the Bible? Grassroots Seminary classes will begin in September 2018 on Monday nights, 15 sessions weekly to be taught by Dr. Brian Williams. Grassroots is for: people who are being called, lay people and leaders in Church who will not go to Seminary allows you to be mobile, meet anywhere is about growing and walking with each other. MTBA – RISE AGAINST HUNGER – MEAL PACKING – SEPT. 22, 2018
Volunteer to be one of the 180 volunteers to pack 50,000 meals on Saturday, September 22 beginning at 9:30 am at Hermitage BC (Church View), click on below link to register (no deadline). Lunch will be served after packing around 1:00 pm. If you can pack for an hour or two, please sign up. You may donate funds on this site as well. MTBA WMU SPRING MEETING – 4-29-18
The MTBA WMU Spring meeting was on Sunday, April 29, 2018, hosted by Newington Baptist Church in Gloucester. We were truly blessed by soloist, Lorelle Perry, with the singing of “People Need the Lord”. The inspiring messages were by both, Paul & Faye Burkwall of Nigeria of their mission work and their following the calling of God to go unto the uttermost parts of the world spreading His Word. MTBA SPRING GATHERING – APRIL 15, 2018
MTBA Annual Spring Gathering was held at Harmony Grove BC in Topping on April 15, 2018. The Gathering was well received, and we had nearly 100% of our churches present. We want to thank “Jubal” for moving our hearts to worship with their pre-concert, our Leaders of Breakout Sessions, and keynote speaker, Mr. Matt Thornhill, of Institute for Tomorrow. BGAV – CHURCH AND BEYOND – MARCH 22, 2018
BGAV sponsored an event “Church and Beyond” on March 22, 2018, led by Tod Bolsinger, (Pastor, Consultant, Fuller professor, and author of “Canoeing the Mountains”). The book and conference was centered around Christian Leadership in Uncharted Territory. As God’s people we are called to share the good news of Jesus within contemporary culture.
