MTBA Executive Committee meeting was held on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Saluda Baptist Church (Saluda, VA). A record number was in attendance to learn of events, opportunities, etc. of MTBA, Committee reports, and all the exciting missions and blessings that God is doing within our Association. MTBA three core values are: “Serving, Cooperating, and Sharing”. Spring Hill Baptist Church in Mathews held a special Mission Commission Service on June 26, 2016, for six church members, pictured left to right, who are leaving for East Africa Tanzania on July 7, 2016. Pictured farthest to right is Rev. Eddie Heath, who officiated service. 

Harmony Grove Baptist Church sponsored A “Movie night” Friday night, May 21, 2016, at Middlesex elementary school. Harmony Grove used the MTBA Ministry Trailer along P with games and accessories to create a fun event to witness for Christ.

The FINS (Friday Nights in the Spirit) Ministry hosted an event on Sunday, May 15, 2016, (click on picture to see slideshow). FINS Ministry is a ministry of smaller community churches around the Mathews area. They meet on the third Friday night of each month to  provide meals, fun activities, fellowship, missions, and prayer for kids in grades K-12. Impact Mid-Tidewater Inaugural Golf Tournament was held on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Piankatank River Golf Club, (Hartfield). It was a beautiful sunny day and a great time was enjoyed by all. Winning team was Don McNamee, Alan McNamee, Lee Holloway, and Mac Franklin. All proceeds will benefit Impact Mission Camps that will be in our area July 24—30, 2016. “Be God’s Answer to someone’s prayer” by repairing homes so they will be “safer, dryer, and warmer”.   Good Friends Say Goodbye: On March 3, 2016, Pastor Pedro Burgos and his wife Gladys stopped by the MTBA office in Saluda to say “Goodbye”.   Pastor Burgos has served faithfully as the pastor of La Iglesia El Camino  since 2000.  It was Dr. Jack Paterson who approached Pedro about uniting his church with the MTBA and it was a good union for both the church and the MTBA.  But now the time has come to  move to the next chapter in Pastor Burgos and Gladys’s ministry.  Because Continue reading →
