The MTBA WMU Spring meeting was on Sunday, April 29, 2018, hosted by Newington Baptist Church in Gloucester. We were truly blessed by soloist, Lorelle Perry, with the singing of “People Need the Lord”. The inspiring messages were by both, Paul & Faye Burkwall of Nigeria of their mission work and their following the calling of God to go unto the uttermost parts of the world spreading His Word. The “Jean Gwathmey” Scholarship for worthy and deserving students was presented to two special members of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Cobbs Creek. An offering was taken for Bland Ministry Center in Bland, VA. Reports were presented and officers installed. A special “thank you” to Newington Baptist Church for hosting our gathering and for the delicious food. MTBA WMU inspires and equips women to influence the world for Christ. We affirm Christ’s call on a woman’s life, a missional response to the world’s needs and development of missional leaders.
