Dr. Ed Jordan, Pastor of Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church, welcomed everyone to 56th annual Fall meeting of the Mid-Tidewater Baptist Association. This meeting was held at Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church in Gwynn, VA on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at 3:00 pm. Greetings were given by Dr. John Upton, Executive Director of BGAV. Reports were presented by Committees and Action Groups. A new Director of Missions was elected, Rev. Eddie Heath. Dr. Robert May, previous Director of Missions, who retired in July 2015, was present and honored for his 8+ years of ministry with Mid-Tidewater Baptist Association. Special music was by Mrs. Marilyn May, wife of Dr. Robert May, as played on the piano, and in addition, special music was rendered by Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church Choir. The message “For All that Has Been – Thanks! To All that Shall Be – Yes!” was delivered by Rev. Ed Inabinet. The Gavel was passed from current moderator, Mr. Don McNamee, to new Moderator, Rev. Mike Gray. The meeting was adjourned and dinner was graciously provided by Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church.
