MTBA – RISE AGAINST HUNGER – SEPTEMBER 16, 2017

On Saturday, September 16, at Hermitage Baptist Church, volunteers from our MTBA family of churches will gather to pack 20,000 meals.  These meals will be used by the Rise Against Hunger organization in their efforts to end world hunger.  The MTBA has participated in this project before and our Community Actions Team felt that the timing was right to help this cause once again.

This is what we need to carry out the task of packaging 20,000 meals in one day:

  • 8:30 AM-9:30 AM: 10 Person Set Up Team. Their job will be to set up tables and equipment for the two packing teams.

  • 9:30 AM-11:30 AM: Morning 50 Person Packing Team.  The goal of this team will be to package the first 10,000 meals.

  • 12:00-12:45 PM: Hermitage BC will provide a hot dog / hamburger lunch for morning and afternoon packing teams.

  • 1:00 PM-3:00 PM: Afternoon 50 Person Packing Team. The goal of this team will be to package the second 10,000 meals.

  • 3:00 PM-4:00 PM: 10 Person Clean Up and Load Up Truck Team.

To sign up, contact MTBA office, Barbara Bareford (e-mail:  barbara@midtidewaterbaptist.org) or phone 804-758-4385 to serve on a team.  YOU WILL BE BLESSED!
