MTBA Logo 2The Mid-Tidewater Baptist Association of Virginia, Inc. serves churches and communities in the Tidewater region of Virginia.  We join together in ministry in order to reach people with the  love of Christ.

By serving, cooperating, and sharing resources, we are stronger together than we are alone. If your church is interested in learning more about MTBA, including about how to become a partner, we would love to hear from you!

MISSION

The mission of the Mid-Tidewater Baptist Association of Virginia, Inc. is to provide the means through which member churches cooperate and join together in spreading God’s Word and serving those in need.

 

HISTORY

    • ​The Mid-Tidewater Baptist Association was organized in October 1959, when the Baptist churches of this area met at Poroporone Baptist Church in Shacklefords, Virginia.
    • The Mid-Tidewater Baptist Association of Virginia, Inc. is comprised of 30 churches (listed below) located in Essex, Gloucester, King and Queen, Lancaster, Mathews, Middlesex, Northumberland, and Richmond Counties on the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck of Virginia.
